बीएचयू में मिली गोलवलकर को ' गुरु जी ' की उपाधि काशी हिंदू पुण्यतिथि पर विशेष विश्वविद्यालय से बीएचयू से हुआ संघ में प्रवेश तय हुई थी देशप्रेम बीएचयू ने गोलवलकर को अध्ययन - अध्यापन के साथ ही खेल , धर्म और योग में भी जागरण संवाददाता , वाराणसी की राह पारंगत किया । मालवीय जी उनकी सक्रियता से काफी प्रभावित थे । आरएसएस के संस्थापक डा . बलिराम हेडगवार जब बीएचयू आए तो उन्होंने दोनों को मिलवाया । राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के द्वितीय सर मालवीयजी ने गांधीनगर केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रो . आरएस दुबे के मुताबिक बीएचयू संघचालक माधवराव सदाशिव राव संवमें प्रवेश की के एक दूसरे छात्र व संघ के भैया जी दाणी की मदद से गोलवलकर जी का संघ में गोलवलकर को ' गुरुजी ' की उपाधि काशी रखी थी नींव प्रवेश हुआ और आगे चलकर संघ के दूसरे सरसंघचालक भी बने । उन्हीं के दौर में हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय में मिली थी । उस यहीं पढ़ाई के बाद माधवराव सदाशिव राव गोलवलकर राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के दायरे में तेजी से विस्तार हुआ । अटल बिहारी सहित कई वक्त वे जूलॉजी विभाग में प्राणिशास्त्र के अस्थायी प्रोफेसर शीर्ष नेताओं का उद्भव इसी दौरान हुआ।आठ अप्रैल 1938 को बीएचयू के एक अस्थायी प्रोफेसर थे । बीएचयू में मालवीय के पद परभी रहे ( जन्म 19 फरवरी 1906 , कार्यक्रम में तीनों विभूतियां एक साथ एक मंच पर थीं । यहीं मालवीय जी ने संघ को जी के समीप रह कर उन्होंने जीवन का तैनात मृत्यु 5 जून 1973 ) देश प्रेमियों का संगठन कहा था । यथार्थ जाना और आगे चल कर हिंदुत्व की विचारधारा को आगे बढ़ाया । अपने व्यक्तित्व और विचारों के कारण बीएचयू में पढ़ाई के दौरान जगी राष्ट्रवाद देखकर वह काफी खुश हुए । रामकृष्ण वेतन से गरीब छात्रों का भरते थे शुल्क : कम ही समय में वह लोकप्रिय हो गए । वह परमहंस और स्वामी विवेकानंद को उन्होंने 1931 में गुरुजी मालवीय जी के आमंत्रण गरीब छात्रों का शुल्क अदा करने के साथ मदन मोहन मालवीय जी की शिक्षा यहां खूब पढ़ा । पर महाराष्ट्र से बीएचयू आए और जूलॉजी ही उनके कॉपी - किताब का खर्च भी अपने पद्धति से प्रेरित होकर 1924 में गोलवलकर इसके अलावा हजारों किताबें विभाग के छात्रों को शिक्षा देने लगे । इसके वेतन से चुकाते थे । यही सब कारण है कि बनारस आए और बीएचयू से बीएससी उन्होंने यहां पढ़ी जिससे उनके मन में अलावा उन्होंने बच्चों को दर्शन , अंग्रेजी छात्र संग अध्यापक भी उन्हें गुरुजी कहकर व एमएससी की पढ़ाई पूरी की । बीएचयू आध्यात्मिकता और राष्ट्रवाद की भावना व अर्थशास्त्र की भी शिक्षा दी । युवाओं में संबोधित करने लगे । के केंद्रीय ग्रंथालय में एक लाख पुस्तकें जागृत हुई । की भावना

कभी पत्थरों से आग जलाने वाले मानव ने अब चाँद पर कदम रखन सीख लिया है । मानव के विकास का यह उत्थान एक दिन में तो हुआ नहीं , बल्कि इसमें हजारों वर्ष का समय लगा । इस बीच इन सफलताओं के मध्य कितनी असफलताएं भी आई होगी , परंतु हम मानवों ने कभी हार नहीं मानी । परिस्थितिय कैसी भी हो , उससे लड़ने का जन हमेशा रखा । ऐसा हम तभी कर पाए जब हमारे पास उत्साह का बल था । उत्साह जब प्रबल होता है , तब वह सबसे बड़ा बल होता है । रामायण में महर्षि वाल्मीकि लिखते है - उत्साह से बढ़कर कोई बल नहीं है । उत्साही पुरुष के लिए संसार में कुछ भी दुर्लभ नहीं है । यहां कहने का तात्पर्य है कि बलवान व्यक्तियों का सबसे कीमती आभूषण उनका उत्साह ही है । कर्म को प्रधानता दिया जाना भारतीय चिंतन परंपरा की धूरी रही है । इस कर्म को ही आनंद के साथ करने का नाम उत्साह है । उत्साह - भव , शंका निराशा से सर्वचा मुक्त होता है । उत्साह ऐसी मनोवृत्ति है जो कार्य का स्वरूप देखकर बनती उभरती है । कार्य अगर बड़ा और महत्वपूर्ण है तो उसमें लगने वाला उत्साह भी बड़ा होता है । किसी भी कार्य में सफलता के लिए ललक और लगन दोनों की आवश्यकता होती है । देखा गया है कि सफल होने की ललक हर व्यक्ति में होती है , परंतु लगन की कमी के कारण वह सफल नहीं हो पाता । मन में उत्साह का संचार अगर सतत रूप से होता रहता है तो मन में धैर्य एवं लगन की धारा भी निरंतर प्रवाहित होती रहती है । दुनिया में आशा और उल्लास का वातावरण होना मनुष्य के भौतिक एवं नैतिक विकास के लिए अत्यंत आवश्यक है । मनुष्ण में उत्साह का गुण नैसर्गिक भी हो सकता है और अभ्यास द्वारा पाया भी जा सकता है । महान लोगों की जीवनी से , उनके महान कायों से हम अपने जीवन में उत्साह ला सकते हैं ।
